Durlock Road, Looking Towards School Lane

Nowadays, The Thatched Building In The Foreground Has a Roof Of Corrugated Iron.  Note The Huge, Multi-Armed Telegraph Pole. (In Those Days Each Person's Telephone was connected To The Exchange Via a Pair Of Bare Wires.  As You Can Imagine, These were prone to Faults caused by Trees, Snow and High Winds).
