Staple-Online  Web Site Designed & Produced by John Kirk.

This Web Site

Unlike many local community Web-Sites, Staple-Online isn't commercially sponsored or professionally produced. It's merely the efforts of one local resident to put his village 'On-Line'. The results may therefore not appear so polished or 'glitzy' as some, but I hope that this is more than made up for by the site's content and usefulness.

This site contains information which I hope will be useful to both the local community and to 'Net Surfers' alike. Items which will be of particular interest to local residents, such as 'news', forthcoming events and so on can be found in the 'Staple News' Section.

The Parish of Staple:

Staple parish comprises the village itself, the hamlet of Barnsole, part of the hamlet of Summerfield and the hamlet of Shatterling.  The latter lies to the north of the village (near the main Ash to Wingham road) and is only accessible within the parish boundaries by footpath.

The Village of Staple:

Like so many rural areas,Staple village no longer has a village stores or a post office.  It doesn't even have a Sunday or Bank Holiday bus service.  But it does have two fine pubs, two nurseries, a  vineyard, a beautiful old church, a 'brand new' village hall and a friendly, close-knit community.
